Latest on radar detectors and the law?

I know this has been discussed before, but I was wondering if the law had become any clearer recently, ie have radar detectors been declared illegal? I have a Bell 550, which gives loads of warning about Gatsos, but around town it gives loads of false alarms, even in "City All" mode.

Currently only transmission devices are illegal. I believe the government are apealing against this judgement. However they as likely to be successful as we are appealing against the human rights issue with Gatsos>

obviously you need a geodesy as well as the detector. Keeping your eyes open is also a good idea !!

i have a bell detector,,,its real good at tell ing me where all those nice automatic doors are on the front of hotels and petrol stations.and allways the workmans temp traffic lights....beep....beep.....beep...beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepp!!!!!!!
