Geodesy misunderstanding & bell 550 question

...well, duh. Does anyone know if the speaker in a bell 550 is a real coil speaker or a piezo thingy? I want to use a telephone induction pickup to strap to the side of the 550 basically to make a light flash when it beeps or says something (the induction pickup won't pickup back ground noise). It'll work with a coil speaker but not a piezo (spelling?). I'm trying to mount it on a bike and you can't really see the display and there's no way you can hear the beeps. I would have bought the bike specific one but also wanted to use it in the car. Ta. -- Mark

I would say that the Bel 550 doesn't use a Piezo Buzzer as i believe (from school technology lessons) that Piezo Buzzers emit only 1 sound? the Bel 550 can have different emitions for different warnings, though my technology teacher could be wrong! lol.
