Anyone fitted one of these to a Tuscan... Got both (new Tuscan) arriving shortly and am wondering where abouts to place it. I''ll get TVR centre to do the electrical bits... Paul.

Mines fitted in my Chimarea, (most of the time) Your somewhat limited to where you can put it as the unit must be able to see straight up through the windscreen, so anywhere you can see the lights on top of the dash seems to make sense, I've not used the sticky pads supplied as these seem very sticky and would be difficult to remove come resale time, instead I've used a very small piece of double sided tape. Very easy to fit, even the hard wire kit, mine just goes straight to the battery terminals, I just have to remember to remove the unit, like a radio when I leave the car or it's flat battery time. Only problem so far has been when the unit was in the company Mundano with a heated front screen, the wires mess with the signal.

Try putting it on the sill between the steering wheel and the radio. You will need to raise it up a bit - about an inch (a small block of black foam cut to size works well - you won't be able to see it). You would think that it would have trouble getting "reception" putting it here, but because of the rake of the windscreen, it works fine.

Try a small bit of velcro. I found some to match Tuscan trim, it works fine and doesn't stand out. Great piece of kit whether it's as a reminder of those sites you pass every day or in 'unknown' territory... it loves Northants! markgj

Mines on the dash of the Griff but because I change between cars so much I've used self adhesive velcro for the whole craddle on the cigerette lighter plug. Just out of interest do you intend tucking it away and using the external aerial ???? If you do, post a couple of pics for interest you might also find morpheous would use them as the interior of a Tuscan is pretty damm special.

Small point and not really related but my Geodesy went mental last night. It went onto a constant cycle of up through the reds, alarm then 2 greens then start again. Spoke to Morpheous apparently it had gone into "test mode" for whatever reason, the fix is to press the brass button as many times as pos' when the 2 greens are on to reset it. Just a tip it might happen to others.

I have just fitted geodesy to a cerbera using velcro underneath the central overhang. The unit is upside down which appears not to affect operation. Also as the overhang is GRP there doesn't seem to be a significant signal deterioration. I tried it in the central cubby hole but the radio blocks the signal. As I am using the geodesy in several cars I haven't hardwired the unit in. Let us know if you go for this option.

I used two blobs of blu-tac - seems to work fine. Heating elements in the screen can definitely mess with the signal, however an re-radiating external ariel can be purchased for about £70 I think. If you use one of these then you can place the unit whereever you want - i.e. out of view of plod or any sticky fingered thieving baskets.

Mel Mine's started doing something similar: a few minutes after it seems to be working fine it goes to two greens and appears to be dead. Sometime it comes back but usually when I notice it I reboot it and the whole cycle starts again. Must try your fix... -Manek-

hi you lot,

I'm waiting for an email reply from Morpheous on this one, but has anyone had a Geodesy that lost its beep?

I parked up at Sarrffffend, between gatso, it was beeping merrily. When I plugged it in again, NO beeps !!!!

Any clues? I think it's a software problem, but will let yout know when I have an answer.

rgds, Carl

huh, no email, but I found that if I squeezed the Geo a bit, the beeper works. Have sent it back, waiting for replacement. Ok, a minor irritation, but provided I get another one within 48 hours, it only reinforces my beleif in the company.
