I Got Flashed!

I got flashed by a camera last night whilst driving a mates car. He wanted me to try it out as he has had some work done on the car and the throttle is really sensitive, and seems to be a bit sticky. I was being really careful (not least because it's a bit of a pig to drive!) and concentrating on what I was doing, but forgot I was passing a camera.
At the same time I had to pass a cyclist, so gently squeezed the throttle, but it opened more than I wanted so I ended up triggering the camera.

Is there any hope of me getting off this one? I was driving really carefully, but it took by surprise as I was trying clear a cyclist, and the car was difficult to drive slowly. It was rather unfortunate to say the least.

Any help or wisdom I would be very grateful.

hmmm, I know my local county are quite hot on their "safety cameras" though, so I'd be surprised if it wasn't loaded...
