Hi all,

I recently got caught be a camera car parked on a bridge over the M4 between Junction 34 and 35, heading Eastbound. From memory the weather was terrible, so how they could see anything of my registration plate is beyond me.

Is is worth tiring to get hold of the photo to make sure it's all above board.

If you ask me they were being petty, the dam motorway was pretty much deserted.

I've tried to call the number on the Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty form, but this is entirely automated. Looks like they are trying to make things hard for people.

Any thoughts, suggestions, or do I just take it like a man. And moan about it to everyone who will listen

Thanks in advance.

Lee

Always worth getting hold of the photo, as far as I'm concerned. Although I understand that they are not legally obliged to let you have it until you have pleaded not guilty to a summons. Ask, and you might be lucky - I was!

I'd say if they've contacted you they can read the number so game set and match. But the bit that worries me is
"From memory the weather was terrible"
followed by
"If you ask me they were being petty, the dam motorway was pretty much deserted. "
So what your saying is that you got caught speeding on a motorway that wasn't very busy, but in conditions that were "terrible" does one not cancel the other out ? I'd say take it on the chin, but there's nothing to stop a good moan along the way

never roll over.
Get the photo's. You might find they aren't legible unless enhanced. Which is illegal. Next thing, if YOU can't be identified visually (not the car), then you may be able to claim someone else was driving.

HOWEVER: as you've admitted guilt on here with your first post, don't expect too much sympathy from the friendly plod that live here.
