Is there a guide to 'how to be difficult' over a gatso NIP. A mates just received one and while he's not willing to go to court he'd like go through the motions ask for the photos etc.. any thoughts ?

if he was speeding and was caught - no mitgating circumstances - whats the deal ... own up. or am I being thick ?

If genuinely believes he was not speeding then - he can request the evidence - or plead not guilty and get a court date.

Well, one reason for being difficult is that he could think it very unjust that a safe piece of extra-urban dual carriageway drops to 50 for speed camera, before going straight back to 70.

I was caught that way, and although I know I was in the wrong, it doesn't stop me wanting to be difficult about it.

It was a dual carriage way in south west london fairly quiet and 11 pm at night.. but 40mph limit which wasnt there when he used to visit few years back. He admits it but feels its 'his duty' to make em work a bit for it

I refused to fill in the form.

So now I am up in court for two offences.

Thing is, I'll probably only get done for the most serious offence (and my speed was considered to be very serious), so there was never any point in sending the letter back.
