Apparantly someone shot a speed camera in norwich outside a school, the PC brigade were suited and booted for interviews as usual.

I think they could have picked a better located speed camera though, perhaps it was kids frightened of being caught speeding on their mountain bikes.

Unfortunately I think that is a good place for a speed camera. I imagine it was kids with an air-rifle, I would assume adults would do more 'constructive' damage, but alas shooting the one outside a school (the only one outside a school in the county??) does not do us much good.

I was critised on another forum for putting down "they never put them outside schools" with someone saying they WERE put down outside schools.

So this is the one they were talking about? I stand corrected. There is A speed camera outside a school in shite britain....

I have said it many times, but I feel it worth repeating (tell me to shut the f up if it is now getting boring) I myself have only ever seen one Speed Camera sited outside a school in my 8 years of driving, it was a mobile 'safety' machine, shame it was on a sunday. If it was there on the Monday I'm sure the school run mum population would have about 500 points between the dozen of them

I swear they don't put them there for fear of losing support for the dam things. After all school run mums won't like it when they have no licenses left.....

Having said that there is a speed camera nearish a school near where I live. Unfortunately its too far away to be of any use. Its in a 30 limit and I can be back up at 50mph by the time I reach the school (on a saturday of course). So its completely useless.

Wiltshire police have been pretty good at this sort of thing in the past as well. Walking the dogs past our local comprehensive one Sunday evening at 7.45pm last summer (at the bottom of a fairly short, steep hill, by the way .....) a fu ing speed trap manned by local plod. You'll never see 'em there when they might have justification for the "safety" message, when the kids are arriving or leaving.

Similarly, I live just opposite a large factory complex, once again at the bottom of a fairly steep hill (the 30 starts at the top of it). At 8am, or between 4 and 5pm, it can be a bloody nightmare trying to manouvre. So when do we see Plod with their "safety" devices? - between 7 and 8 in the evening and usually at the weekend.

But, of course, I must be seeing things. I mean, they're there for safety purposes, not revenue earning, aren't they?

I have recently bought an ex police patrol car, I have removed the rear seats and drilled two small holes in the boot. I feel this vehicle is ideally suited to it's proposed usage as a "speed camera sniper vehicle" all I need now is a co-driver to tour the country for my master plan to work
