Just had a quick browse and it doesn't look like this has been picked up.
Noticed on another page that one of the police who appears regularly on the TV progs ( cant recall his name but he looks like the bold guy from a gruop called The Scaffold so you have really got to pld for that..lol

To be fair i managed to get the jist of it and if it was gin inspired i would suggest he has had just about the right amount to create the effect most people that drink gin are seeking. No point just having one, no point at all

You would have to be trying quite hard not to follow the opening post.Being "hoisted by your own petard" fits well enough for someone whose job is stopping others for breaking laws but then losing that job for also breaking laws. Hypocrite would also work; as would dishonest.
I can't recall this indivudual officer in those TV shows (which i used to watch quite a bit).
But whilst many plod on them seem hard working and decent: there are also objectionable personalities who must be insufferable to work with. Though maybe they were playing up for the camera..?
The fact this offcer denied his actions were even gross misconduct shows how some officers can exist with such a shallow understanding of what is required of them.
