999 Roadcraft.
Discussion
I watch a lot of YouTube content and one thing I have picked up over the last few years is a guy called Chris Martin who is an EMS driver who shares some of his 999 drives, I tend to watch his content to educate myself on how best to assist drivers who might encounter me, and position myself best for the least impact on their progress.
From watching his videos I have picked up various things they do, things they can’t do and things they shouldn’t do. One thing that surprised me though is this, crossing Chevrons, I can see it is unlikely to cause danger as the driver can obviously see anything coming, but should he be doing this (this is not criticism, it’s a genuine question)

Yes they can. That's looks like an A road so not like there's anything coming towards him. Getting on to the carriage way and out quickly is often the safest option, though there is a risk of punctures so needs to be weighed off against that risk.
Also, I've seen some of his stuff before, he isn't a great example of blue light driving at an advanced level in my opinion.
He often seems to barrell into things too quickly, rarely has a contingency plan if his initial idea doesn't work, rarely seems to lifts his vision beyond the immediate hazard and seems to get frustrated with other roads users very quickly....
