Would not be a ban in that case, so a totting up ban is the most likely. New driver 6 points is a revocation.

He was 43 so unlikely to be a new driver. Also he pled guilty so it's not like he's having his arse handed to him for daring to challenge.

He'd have normally got a speed awareness course so it's possible he'd already done one AND was on nine points.

Nobody has ever been banned for JUST doing 69 in a 60.
There is obviously a back story to this but it's typical headline grabbing, lazy, local journalism.
