Private car park signage - what's required by law?
Discussion
Perhaps conversely, I'm looking at this from a land owner point of view.
Business has a fenced area of open land that's used as a car park for them and their customers - what signage do they need to display from a legal standpoint to deter parking by people who aren't customers and cover themselves to 'invoice' non-customers looking for a free place to park?

I suspect you would end up getting a parking company involved . We had a similar issue at one of our sites. whilst we put up signs about it being a private car park etc. We couldn't do much about it, because DVLA wouldn't release owner details to us .
Also there is the time it would take you to sort it all out.
We did manage to stop one persistent offender by an eight wheeled truck breaking down in front of where he had parked. He couldn't pick his ar up until the next day. Still not sure why the other cars had moved before it broke down though.
