I live in central London in block of flats. We regularly have people leaving limebikes that block our main entrance, firedoors, and exit to our car park. I know you can report these to Lime and they'll aim to get them removed within 3 days, but it's just going to happen again and again. Yes, someone can drag them elsewhere, but that's not much help if you're on the wrong side of a blocked firedoor one day.
Our Council don't care, Lime are nonchalant about it. What can we do?

It sounds like you have basically covered all your options in your post.

Are these other residents in the building doing it? you could ask building manager if there is one to speak to them/ raise it?

That's what I was thinking. It's got to be the people living there unless you are living adjacent to something that attracts users.

London - not a lot. I loved my time there ( 10 years) but being in Londinium seems to bring out the selfish in most people (perhaps because everyone is "invisible" amongst the huge numbers?).

I'd start lobbing them a fair distance to try and get the messagea cross, or, if you can, chain them all together to anearby lamppost - somthing like that will get either Limes' attention, or the users.

Is there somewhere you could put a webcam or whatever to see who it is that's leaving them there? Deliberately blocking fire escapes is probably a good reason to moan at a landlord if they're renting, assuming they don't stop when confronted with their fkwittedness.

I thought Lime were geofenced and they could block areas from being used as drop off points. Local MP might help if it's blocking fire escape route or fire service.

I'm right on the border of London and these bikes are ditched all over the place on pavements blocking the way. Don't understand how they're allowed to operate this way personally.

Lime riders are odd. They literally stop the bike usually on the pavement and leave it there.

No thought of putting it against a wall or just trying not to block the passage of others.

Nightmare for blind, old or infirm people.

They get left in the middle of the paths of my local Royal Park.

Then what gets me is you see families with prams or buggies struggling to get past but no one thinks of moving it.

I do but have been accused of being the rider laugh

There are people in London who throw them into rivers and canals, and sometimes I don't blame them. Give the users something nice and they will ruin it. It's the nature of todays Society.

I assume you’re being subtly sarcastic, as none of the above will even come close to working for the already hard of thinking.

I’ve only used Lime in Munich (a scooter) and there you could only stop the ride in certain places, and had to take an image to prove it wasn’t blocking a path etc.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Geo-fencing wouldn't work as it's only 2 metres from the firedoor exits and you're on public property.
The canal doesn't work as we aren't near one.
Chaining to a lampost could work, but I'd have to be out buying chains.
I know the crosshatching isn't going to work, while "Fire Exit. Do Not Obstruct" signs already show they aren't effective.
We have residential alongside commercial (though not retail) on my street. It's a mixture of all.

Nobody suggested removing the bikes and holding them for ransom to help finance an effective Limebike removal service. If you begin a business such as this, you can gift me a share in the company.

The people leaving the bikes there are your neighbours. Have you tried asking them not to do it?

Quite a lot of the rental scooters etc in Antwerp. My son used to live in the tourist area of old town and the usual thing was a large poster/Note asking people not to block access

This...but there is a more extreme option

The short answer is that management of the fire exits are the building management's responsibility. Report the obstructions to them and the fire brigade:

https://www.london-fire.gov.uk/safety/the-workplac...

If they don't deal with it they will be liable
