Supplier gone bust and has my property
Discussion
ISTR that this has been covered here, but the search functionality didn't unearth it.
I run a motorcycle training school, and I have 5 bikes stored with the nearby dealer. Today they are shut and I have good cause to believe that the whole chain is now COMPLETELY bust. I can't access my bikes.
The bikes are 100% owned by my company, but how long it is likely to take for anyone to be a position to release them.

Probably best to find out who has taken over what's left and is liquidating assets. Contact them and tell them your property is in the building. Be prepared to provide proof of ownership.
Companies house shows them still trading, but a credit check suggests not. I'm just wondering if I am going to be waiting days, weeks or months...moorx said:
Thanks - I thought I'd read something like that here, but didn't spot it.Alex Z said:
Assuming this is Completely Motorcycles you are talking about, they are in administration rather than liquidation, and are claiming they’ll be open on Monday.
That should make it easier to get your bikes back if you have proof of ownership.
Yes indeed and thanks. It does look that way. I hope the bike business survives - I know a fair few of the employees. That should make it easier to get your bikes back if you have proof of ownership.
I await Monday with interest.

How I hate it when the OP doesn't provide an update...
Sorry, been busy with sorting work out and mum in hospital!
Bikes all recovered and currently in a newly rented lockup.
I don't want to say too much as I know that when a company goes through this process there are a lot of legal dos and don'ts.
So I am alright, but my thoughts are with the hard working people who have probably lost their jobs through no fault of their own....
