Correct. Or the French, Germans, Norwegians, Estonians, any country you like. Except Eire where there has been a reciprocal agreement since before Brexit.
Nonsense - I can tell you for a FACT that Switzerland can and will send speeding tickets to the UK....Robertb said:

Not this again!
They have no access to DVLA. Any more than UK plod can access Swiss vehicle details.
So the DVlA will give driver details to any fly by night dodgy car park operator in the UK but not the Swiss national police? They have no access to DVLA. Any more than UK plod can access Swiss vehicle details.
My best mate was an Irish cop, now retired, likes nothing more than lighting up UK cameras in Irish registered cars for fun, as he knew there would be no comeback, a lot of misimformation on this thread lol.

Nonsense - I can tell you for a FACT that Switzerland can and will send speeding tickets to the UK....Information sharing ceased after Brexit. I've done it the other way, flashed in the UK in a EU registered car and heard nothing. They can still request details but there's no obligation to give them and they will only do so for more serious offences.
Having said that, if there is a way the Swiss will be the ones to find it.

The Swedish and Norwegian road agencies sent toll invoices to me a few months after a visit. They could have only received my address from the DVLA.
Were you driving your own car? Or were you driving a hired one that you had to provide your driving license to hire?Mars said:
My own car, although this was in 2020, just before Brexit was implemented. It is possible as the poster above says, that sharing info has now ceased.
Its called the Cross Border Enforcement Directive and it ceased to apply to the UK after Brexit. It facilitates automatic sharing of information between European countries for road safety offences, though if you do something more serious than speeding they can still request your details via other means.Gassing Station | Speed, Plod & the Law | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
