A dispute with Stansted airport parking. Our appeal received a gobbledegook response and it cannot be challenged other than with POPLA. Is that step worth the effort or wait until litigation?

Yes it is well worth the effort as I have won several cases at POPLA.

Plus the appeal to POPLA costs the parking company, I think £30?

If you’re on minimum wage then maybe. If you have a life then no.

If the POPLA appeal take 20 minutes, that's a wage of about £350k per year. That's fancy pants barrister money, not what I earn.

POPLA only deal with how the ticket was issued, and if it met the terms of issue.

They don't deal with fairness.

Why did you ask the original question, then?

Because if they are completely unhelpful I won't waste twenty minutes, obviously.

It seems most people on PH have plenty of time to waste - yes, me included.

For anyone interested in the outcome:

I didn’t go to POPLA, instead I made a complaint to the airport who, on the basis that I had clearly paid for parking in the multi-storey, cancelled the PCN.

There's a multi-storey at Stansted?

Green short-stay.
