i got caught by a camera van on the 04/06/24 the NIP arrived 2 days later.
Same day i filled my details online then nothing At the beginning of this month i tried phoning the central ticket office and left details on there answer machine still nothing
i am getting worried now that things might go further is this normal

As said above, so long as you entered your details (and sent them) properly, there is nothing more for you to do. The longer it goes on without you hearing, the more you hope your file might be lost in the system but it's best not to consider that a possibility until 6 months have passed.

Depends on the OPs licence currently. OP how many points do you currently have? Nine or more and it will be SJP (court).
Less than nine and you are suitable for a FPN (as above).
Or could be offered a course if you haven't done kne in the last three years (and it's not Scotland).

Yes, it can happen like that, but it can take up to 6 months as has been said, so "buckle up buttercup" you could be in for a bit of a wait.martinbiz said:

As above, you should be offered a course for that speed (provided the offence was not in Scotland, where they are not offered).With almost two months gone you would usually have heard by now. Most forces do not offer a course much beyond three months (so as to allow time for the course to be taken before the six month time limit for prosecution is exceeded)..
You can leave it in the (unlikely) event your case has fallen down the back of a filing cabinet. If it was me I would make further enquiries to make sure that either your response to them has not been lost or their offer to you hasn’t.
The former will cause you particular grief because if that has happened you will find yourself on the wrong end of a “Fail to Provide Driver’s Details” charge. This can only be dealt with in court and whilst there is a way to recover the situation to have it reverted to just the speeding matter, it is aggravation I would do my best to avoid.
