Drivers Cutting Corners - Again?
Discussion
I was sure there's a thread on this but despite searching, can't find it!
Saw an idiot approaching me the other day, signalling to turn to his right, across me into a side road with the corner of a factory unit totally obstructing his view into it. He could have waited, all of 10 seconds, but no, he jammed his foot down and cut across me.
Not a problem for me as I'd seen it in his eyes and expected it. Was very nearly a big problem for him as, approaching the corner from the other direction on the side road, was a lorry! I could see it, he couldn't! Until he cut the corner, at speed, to suddenly see the front of this lorry filling his field of vision! Kudos to the lorry driver, he'd slammed on a fraction before this tt appeared. I'd caught his eye as he'd looked at me and I think he'd got the message from my look of horror for what I could see happening in front of me! Thankfully there was no contact as Mr tt slewed across in front of the lorry and up the opposite kerb!
The best bit, aside from no injuries, the look of sheer terror on mr tts face when he saw what was coming! I looked at the lorry driver and, as mr tt hit the kerb as opposed to the front of his lorry, he looked at me, glanced at mr tt disappearing down the side of his vehicle, and mouthed, quite clearly, "tt!"
I was almost crying with laughing by now, partly from relief, but mainly the tts face! Sheer, fkin, Terror! Hopefully he'd have to change his pants when he got home, and his wheels would definitely need checking, properly, as he'd hit a fairly high kerb, at speed! I was always told, ' Don't Cut Corners!', in the job, or on the road. It would have seriously injured mr tt at the very least, and I'd have been a witness for the lorry driver! So he would have been doubly fked!

If it's winding you up so much, that you need to post on PH, for sympathy/empathy, then here's the thread:Saw an idiot approaching me the other day, signalling to turn to his right, across me into a side road with the corner of a factory unit totally obstructing his view into it.
