I would imagine the offence came to light to late to serve an NIP

Nah I’ve seen this film before.

NYPDs top traffic enforcement officer thrown out for the very offence he’s charged with preventing. It’s all a sham, so he can go undercover and join the selby sunday street racing gang.

The only problem is, he will fall in love with a selby street racer’s sister and learn to understand why the streets of selby are the way they are. He will tell the NYPD to stick their job, he belongs to the streets of selby now.

Anyone doing less than 154mph on the A1 around Selby should be prosecuted for dawdling

Anyone on the A1 around Selby is lost, as the road round Selby is the A19 /A63. The A1 is nearly 10 miles away.

They are no longer a street gang, but they are Family.

To be fair to PC Adam Smith (the public face of the force's crackdown on street racing),
speeding (at 150 mph) is not the same offence as racing on the public highway
although I do suspect that he prosecuted more drivers for speeding than racing.
