Declaring Suspension Changes To Insurer
Discussion
Since owning my car I have had drop links, shock absorbers, roll bar bushes, control arm and top mounts done at the rear in order to chase down an annoying noise ( which is still there ) all at the rear
All aftermarket parts ( KYB/Bilstein etc )
Only just dawned on me should I declare this to my insurer? In no way do any of these parts impact the speed or safety of the car in a negative way
Thanks

Each Insurer might well have different views as what constitutes a modification but it would better to check with them now before there is an incident. All aftermarket parts ( KYB/Bilstein etc )

Standard replacement parts, whether OEM or aftermarket - that's maintenance, no need to declare.
.
That's what I was hoping. Yeah they are just like for like replacements ( same as stock but with a different badge ).
