If anyone could help and tell me what will happen id appreciate it. I was speeding on the motorway doing 110 and didn’t notice at the time that an undercover was following me. They followed me all the way to a dual carriage way where it was a 50 and I was doing around 90. I got pulled over and told they going to give me points for driving with due care and excise speeding. They let me drive home and told me that they given a verbal warning and i will need to show up in court.

I’ve been driving for 10 months and just wondering what will happen. Thank you.

Hopefully you'll get a lengthy ban.

Banned most probably.

Based on the sentencing guidelines, I suspect that even the minimum points penalty will result in an automatic ban for you due to the length of time you've been driving. On speeding alone, for 76mph+ in a 50 the sentencing guidelines say "Disqualify 7–56 days OR 6 points" and a Band C fine for example.

Could be wrong but I think if you get more than 6 points in the first 2 years of driving your license is revoked & you have to retake your theory and practical test once any ban has finished.
By the sound of it that's no bad thing as it should keep you off the road for some time!

You're going to get a ban - and if you think your insurance is expensive now it's nothing compared to when you decide to get your license back.

Unfortunately you will get a fine and a ban. After which you would have your licence revoked and have to take your driving test again because you have been driving for less than two years.

Hopefully they chuck in some compulsory grammar and spelling lessons too.

One the flip side, if the notice of intended prosecutions doesn't get laid within 6 months, you'll face no penalty, points, court proceedings or driving ban.

You're just going to have check your post every day for the next 6 months and hope nothing arrives!

I won't judge, I've done worse.

Ban almost certainly, but not the end of the world. Be more careful in future.

What car?

You should get out again and try to beat 110, may as well, you're getting banned anyway. Once the ban comes I would keep the car and drive around with a ban anyway, but keep it safe and speed down, seems to work for most.

As well as the ban, when you have to resit your driving test, it’ll be the more expensive extended test that is more difficult.

I think some more revision of grammar and spelling is required before writing any essay.
