Got done, again, for speeding - no excuse.

Takes me too 12 points so will this result in an automatic ban?

If I loose my licence I loose my job so wondering what my options might be.

Look up AGTLaw on here, book an appointment, and he can talk you through submitting mitigation, if you have any. Consequences to you don't count, only to others. Are you paid enough to afford a chauffeur?

I know you have no excuses, fair enough, but why do you do it? I just drive at the limit, never seems like a big deal, are you a delivery driver or something?

Yep. His website is http://www.counsel.direct if you don't find him on here.

I've often wondered how some people just keep racking them up, I've been driving for almost 30 years, I had my first points about 5 years go, never had any since, I wouldn't say I always stick to the limit either.

Careful - there's a contingent here who take any anti-speeding comment very personally, and will no doubt be wading in with personal insults soon.

Well, it's not surprising is it ?

Been caught before, hasn't learnt - despite the possibility of losing his job.

With ridiculous amounts of scameras and sneaky limit changes, idiotically low limits and a focus on revenue raising it’s not hard to see how a few minor infractions, e.g, 24 in a 20 etc, could quickly rack up.

A lot of brakists on this site spewing their bile however are best ignored.
Hopefully you can negotiate a bit of “exceptional hardship” op. Speeding in this country is ridiculously over enforced and is clearly politically motivated.

You've just been lucky that's all, like millions of others, including me.

Things are only going to get worse with more advanced cameras springing up.

I'm paranoid about going over the limit, it's taking all the joy out of driving....20mph? ffs!

I got three points in Bolton in 1973 with a radar trap set up hiding behind a low wall, so nothing new,

Plead mitigation to the court with evidence. You might get lucky, depends on how far over the limit etc.

Beg, beg, beg. Get a statement by your employer. Hope you get a lenient judge.

Just call AGTlaw and ignore other well intentioned advice. He is literally an expert in this field.

Easy to rack up points if driving all day for a living compared to someone who drives only to work and back. A moments distraction and easily caught.
I got my last points when I was on a chilled drive. Empty dual carriageway, 40 limit just chatting away, not in a hurry, caught doing 53. Being empty dual carriageway didn’t think I wasn’t speeding as I wasn’t particularly looking at speedo, just driving at what I thought was a normal feeling speed for the conditions. Dry summers day, empty road.

Get a barrister. From friends and colleagues I’ve learnt they’re worth every penny.

One didn’t because he said he couldn’t afford it and got a 6 month ban, cost him a lot more in taxis and trains.
