A44, A46 Tax Collection Squad
Discussion
Having travelled this route almost every day unhindered for the last 2 years. Last night the rip off squad were out on the A46 Eveshm Bypass (White LDV Van), and this morning on the A44 between Enstone & Woodstock (Smaller White Van).
Fortunately on both occasions I was stuck in Traffic, and will not be making a donation to the West Mercia/Oxfordshire benevolent fund.
The question however does anyone know if these vans use Radar or Laser. I have a snooper SLD920 - blinder installed but on neither occasion did it fire. In fact last night on the A46 I had several goes, with no effect. So have I fitted this thing wrong or do they use Radar in which case I think I need more hardware.

I was on the understanding that most mobile traps were laser but it could be one of the older style vans that basically have a gatso in them. With this you'd see the telltale double flash if someone was caught.
Crafty buggers though as there really is no defense against these unless you have a REALLY up to date morpheous/origin blue type GPS device. And even then you'd still have to be lucky as these vans move about daily.
I'd be loath to fit a radar decector to any vehicle I was driving simply because of the number of false alarms these things are reputed to give off. In urban areas you'd be permanently paranoid.
