It says alot about Road Angel if TVR are serious about offering this as a built on accessory. The 'Tree Huggers' will also say this is not very PC. I await with interest to see what TVR do with integrating this into the dash equipment. Will we also see modular SatNav coming onto the accessory list too then????

chances are that unless the mainstream media pick up on this and make a thing out of it then the tree huggers won't notice.

Oh, sorry, you meant the tree huggers that run the mass media. I forgot about them

I think its a great idea myself. Between this and the gatso beating ability TVR drives are sorted

I've got one on loan at the moment and the fact that it 'bleeps' for accident blackspots will be heralded as a safety measure. Bloody annoying though in fact as every time you pass a junction the frigging thing starts bleeping.

Nice idea but what about if you go to France? The gendarmes will confiscate the unit if they find it. They'd have to impound the whole car...

But if its a GPS based system (a) it won't work in France without a new database and (b) its not a radar detector, so should be ok anyway.

Sorry, I thought it included a radar detector. Not, I suspect, that it would stop the gendarmes anway...

Ted - Err I think this actually a joke isn't it (or when public speaking is the term "icebreaker")?

Ben Samuelson said that after Top Gear, where the Tuscan went through the speed camera undetected, TVR had deceided to fit a "Road Angel" type device. Then, when it bleeps, the driver has the choice of slowing down, err, or speeding up (to 170 mph). (BOOM, BOOM. HAHAHA.)

Oh yes, maybe. Someone told me before his speech that it was on the cards, but yes it could be a joke. Didn't get it myself
