Probably been discussed already but anyone know what the new cameras on the M40 are for?

Not a great picture but long yellow speed camera pole with a CCTV style camera on the top?

Pretty sure they're for an upcoming barrier upgrade

There's also a few average speed setups a bit further down on both sides of the mway.

If they're for the 'upcoming barrier repair' as suggested above then might they have gone by now? Not driven on the M40 for a few months.

Was a transit speed van sat up on the bridge over the M40 yesterday on the Wallingford to Thame road, making money.

Sorry to drag this post up again, but I’m a new member and seemingly unable to post for a bit!

Just curious about J10 on the M40. Right after the bridge (Southbound) in lane three there are some faded speed camera markings. Any idea if these are in use, or left over from the 2000s? Coordinates are (51.9476895, -1.2046538).

Bar a rare one sat on the bridge at Stokenchurch J5, j6 to j4 is usually very safe...

Beaconsfield is a very hot spot, they sit on teh bridge to catch all the drivers having fun with the big swooping downhill then upholl strech. Do 69mph there...

They are merciless in both directions-coming from Chav Wycombe or B’field. Sat & Sun mornings particularly up on the bridge just south of J3.

Donkeys years old those. Like probably measurable in decades! There were some roadworks and they had a gatso erected. Gives you an idea of how long ago it was.
