Flashed by a one armed bandit
Discussion
While doing about 55 through a 40 mph restricted roadworks area on the A90 around Forfar at 8pm while nobody was working. And to think I'd had no valid points on my licnece since May
This was on Friday. I may or may not hear anything. But ...
I moved house about 7 months ago, and still haven't got around to re-registering the car to the new address. I've got mail forwarding in place but I don't think they forward registered letters.
I'm sure this won't help me get away with it! But might it land me in more trouble? If I contact the DVLA or the police now, will it make a ticket more likely if they were undecided?

First thing I'd do is check with the post office if your redirection does or does not cover forwarding registered mail (which your NIP may not be anyway).
I suspect that they will forward them anyway.
I reckon sticking your head above the parapet with plod is a bad idea until you'ce heard something.. but that's just me..
Can you talk to the people who are now at your old address and just ask them to give you a call if anything important looking comes for you?

Did just that this morning, they do forward registered stuff. They didn't the last time I moved, but that was a few years ago.
The last NIP I got from a camera - in 1995 - was sent registered post, hence my presumption.
I agree on the whole about not sticking my head above the parapet! With a bit of luck the camera will have run out of film by a Friday evening (nothing like a bit of wishful thinking!).

2 things...
1) I didnt get my NIP through registered post. Just came via normal mail (doesnt account for all of them though)
2) If they send it to your old adress because thats the one on your license, they will chase you and when they find that you have moved they will not only do you for the speeding thing but they will also do you for failing to update you details with the DVLA which is a serious amount of money.
Sorry to be a downer dude, but my mate was in the same situation and he got all of the above...
That is of course if the camera was live and didnt just have a dummy flash in it.
Good luck anyway.
