Hello everyone. So perhaps you can help. It's not me, thankfully, but my girlfriend. Having been lectured some time in the recent past by her with the "Speed Kills" mantra she has now been told that she has TWO! speeding tickets NIP arrived. Thing is that she only recently bought this car and the NIPs have been sent to the person who sold it to her. She did send the change of ownership form previous to being GATSOed. So my question is that if the NIP arrives with her after the statutory 14 days does it still count?
She is a bit mournful at being caught on two successive days, 40 in a 30. 6 points, does this have any effect on insurance?

SILENCE IS GOLDEN!
Oh my, you guys just brought tears to my eyes!
So funny.....
And just one for you...
being lectured by the EX-wife as I turned in to the corner with the appropriate speed and throttle settings my reply was:-
"And if I had as much experience as you then I couldn't do this either!"
Did I mention that she is my EX wife.

As far as insurance goes it depends who she's with and how old she is; if she's under 25 she'll take a hit on her premium for sure, if she's over 25 she might get away with it as most insurers treat SP30/50 as 'minor' convictions and you're normally allowed 2 minor convictions before you get slapped for more premium.
