I couldn't help but notice this morning when sat in traffic right next to one of the infernal things that the actual "head" part appears to be simply bolted on to the upright with 4xM10 nyloc nuts ! Now I suspect there must be some cables or wires or something running down the inside of the tube part otherwise why have the access hatch at the bottom but what really struck me was all this talk about expanding foam, flameing tyres, disc cutters, and ramming the things. Why not just use a 13mm socket, a pair of snips and bury the body in Epping Forest or something ????

I've always thought about digging a hole and cutting the services line (power etc.) a foot or so away from the concrete base ... but I don't want to frazzle myself. Then cover over the turf/gravel and see how long it takes to get fixed.

Ooo Ooo... and some fava (sp?) beans :P

Sure would be amusing to undo the front two nuts to raise the gatso up a few degrees... that'd put the spanner in the works!

Cutting the services line tho - doesn't that trigger an alarm somewhere (ref: the little stickers that say something along the lines of 'under constant monitoring, do not tamper with') I presume they can't monitor and alarm EVERY SINGLE gatso in the country, hell - they can't load 1 in 8 of them with film!

Of course, you could always *overload* the services lines...
