Hi,

Has anyone taken out this kind of cover in the event of losing your license? If so what's it like? Can you recommend using it? etc.

Speeding (as one of the things offered for cover) is generally a conscious act, intentional bending (well ok, breaking) the law. It's like insuring against going to prison, a guaranteed income for commiting a criminal act. Who on earth would underwrite that?

But comprehensive car insurance already covers you for doing stupid things that you have control over.
I guess the main thing is that no-one ever *wants* to lose their license, so their risk is minimised
