Old radar detectors

Im not sure what your laws are on these items of anarchy...
I have a very old, early '90s but high quality Escort radar detector sitting in the garage waiting for me to get my restricted licence but im not sure what it will pick up on modern police equipment, if anything. There's only 1 way to find out i guess. Can anyone enlighten me on if its worth installing it?

Probably work, but get set off by so many other things. ALso may not cover any new frequencies.. try and borrow a newer one, and try it in parallel?
