Hiya

Need a bit of comfort here (think I might not get it). Just gone through one of those video out-the-back-of-a-van speed traps. I'd be interested to know how they work, but more to the point, if my speedo was registering about 57 (and decelerating, so might have been less, depending where the datum was) in a 50 limit, what's the chance of me getting a lovely letter from Northants police?

I've been past a few of these in London, (on the N/Circular), each time circa 10mph above a 30 limit (normally 40) around roadworks on a Sunday. Never got a ticket. So fingers crossed.....

Trouble is Joolz that cameras are stupid (in the sense of not being able to make informed decisions). I reckon that if a traffic car had seen me or been following, they would have ignored me, cos my speed had just crept up a bit coming down a hill (loads of cameras on the A45 Coventry, so you don't push it anyway). That's what's so irritating - I wasn't actually flooring it.

AND I only took the car cos my train was cancelled! Blinkin trains!!!!!!!
