Just been reading my local (penzance ) rag and see that the local county council are proposing a blanket 20mph limit for the entire town including seafront and main exit road out of town !!!! Seem to remember seeing somwhere draft copies of a letter you could send the council regarding setting of limits and all that 85th percentile stuff, any ideas where I can find em again ??

Do it - stir up some local protest - they can't be allowed to get away with this sort of draconian control-freakery!

Oops miunderstood the thread. I thought you meant 20mph on blankets. How would they enforce it ? Undercover cops I suppose !!!!

I went onto the Penzance website and found the addresses to complain to are:

Penwith District Council at admin@penwith.gov.uk

Cornwall Highways Dept. at enquiries@cornwall.gov.uk

Perhaps if enough of us e-mail them we just might get somewhere.
