Have seen this a few times already and god does it look daft !! I think you'd fall over laughing if that ever came to your 'aid' in the event of a crime !!

I know what you are saying about them falling over, but i tried a Brabus Smart out and it was a hoot to drive i was very very supprised by it , ok its no ball of fire but could more than keep up .

It made me think it could be a funny town car alternative .

marki, I think that are great little cars, having driven one for a while, but they are a time and place car i.e you'd be rather suprised to see one hooning round on a track day (the thought of four wheel drifitng one down paddock hill bend at Brands is just too scary !!) I think dialing 999 and getting one of these turn up would be a tad daft !! IMHO of course

Ha ha yep "Your Nicked sonny now get the bus down to the station will yer"

DDrinks your right of course i would imagine i would need a lot of miles under my belt in one before trying to slide it round a bend ,,,,, and even then is it long enough to slide or would it just "Topple"

I saw one going round castle combe last year, not very quickly mind but he seemed to be enjoying himself.

Drove one once - was the worst car I've ever driven. If the gearchange was any slower I'd have been quicker stopping, taking the gearbox out, changing the cogs by hand then putting it all back in and driving off. Not to mention the fact that it felt about as stable as a south american dictatorship!

*my* Smart was very stable despite my best efforts at unsettling it. I think you know me well enough by now to assume that I am a harsh critic of cars.

The gearchange is shite, but the stability is surprisingly good.

Round town, I can't imagine much getting away from a "chipped" Smart. Except the Ninja. Ho ho!!! Right on, Denny?

Carl.

This is not as bad as one of those ford think electric things I saw at the lights at trafalger sq a few months ago. People standing at the lights were litrally laughing at the police inside it (this was admitadly at 4am ish so most people were pi$$ed but still)

I suppose its the opposite end of the spectrum then the Jag XJ220 and lotus esprit police cars

reckon they're a bloody good idea, and the sooner they introduce them to the Traffic plod the better
