Grey boxes

Going in to grimstone i noticed a grey box on a black pole about 2ft hight and 2 rectangular sensors in the road surface one after the other on both sides , what are they ?? also appearing all over the A303 , Are they speed traps or traffic counters , also Dorset council highways dept you know you are not allowed to put speed camera signs where there are no camera so kindly remove them from the signs in grimstone and put the limit back to 40

2ft high poles with grey boxes on top situated in the footway/verge are traffic counters, sometimes also measure your speed but purely for data gathering.

where they measure speed, expect enforcement in a couple of months time. They test the water to see if it is a good "earner", before installing the evil boxes.
