Snooper?

Tempted to fit a snooper to my motor so I can bat down the motorway (when conditions allow obviously) without fear of being picked off at 2Km by some numpty with a lasergun a copper showed him how to use this morning..

Anyone else got one?

Anyone actually convinced it really works (As a jammer AND as a detector?)

I bought one for Roop a few years back for Christmas.

It does work as far as I know. There was a problem with the first unit but it was replaced FOC within 3 days and so far no problems and more importantly no points.

I am hoping to get one for my jeep at somepoint as is Dad.

As a detector, the Snooper isn't bad as long as false signals at petrol stations and traffic lights doesn't bother you. But it doesn't jam anything, it just detects.

Or do you mean a different kind of snooper??

err yep - theres a laser one, detects and jams lasers.. not sure on the legality in this country..

Not bothered with radar detector really, lasers I figure are the biggest danger to me - getting zapped by one from a motorway bridge and it's bye bye car for a few months...

Chop I was in today were out testing one (on the front of an F360!) with some friendly plod.. If I find out what happended I'll post the info. As it's the shop though I figure they're bound to be upbeat about it, so I wanted an unbiased opinion if there is one out there...

I bought both the LIDAR Diffusers and the GATSO detectors as a package.

The LIDAR Jammers are what I was talking about in my first post.

Mr Tony, hi again! I had the Snooper S5 hardwired into the 348. So far very good, gives good warning of gatsos, generally enough to slow down, Occasionally only about 1 second warning though. Havent had the laser light show up yet(thank god!) Also hardly any "falsing"

Apparently all Snooper sales have been suspended awaiting some DTI decision on if they interfere with other signals Sky tv n the like.. more info on www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk .. bit of a bugger cos i got one too
