Lovely Origin Blue i - except...
Discussion
I splashed out and bought myself an Origin Blue i just before I bought the Griff. Good move that - the Griff, I discovered later, doesn't have a cigarette lighter. Oh.
Anyone got any good ideas on how I can power the Origin without the in-car supply? I'm very attached to my licence and it'd be a shame to lose it when I've got 400 quid's worth of preventive measure sitting at home!

Does it not have a lighter socket in the really logical place of the drivers door?
But my geodesy is wired direct to the battery I imagine a Origin Blue is similar ie only a live and a negative feed, if a hard wire option is not available you'd have to cut the fag lighter plug off, and see what you can do?

Hard wire it into the fusebox?
Mmm, could do. But I'm reluctant to go for a permanent solution because I'd also like to use it in my other cars.
Oh, but on the other hand the power lead is detachable... So I could hard wire a lead in and just buy another lead for use in the other cars? There's a thought.
Cheers!

Nope. I sat there looking for it for half an hour the other night just in case whoever worked on the interior had had a bad day and put it somewhere sensible for a laugh , but no sign.

Sounds straightforward - I'll give it a go! I've got a lead with a faulty plug that I can chop up anyway. We'll see what happens! Thanks!
