Next to nothing you say ... Hell at the price its a bargain whether it really works or not, However, let me point out that these devices (I too have the same one) ARE A GAMBLE, Kinda like a western shootout at High noon. You're braking foot against the plods trigger finger ... How fast can you react to the brake pedal against how fast can plod double click you at the same speed for two readings ???
"What I hold in my hand is a radar gun, Do you feel lucky punk? Go ahead, use that brake pedal"

I got one and its a noisey little bugger going off at everything from my neighbours burglar alarm to self opening doors at every garage you pass.. having siad that its saved my bacon several times so wouldnt be without it. One other thing, if I leave it on when the cars parked outside my house it causes interference with Sky tv !! thought they were sposed tyo be passive in operation ?
Oh and www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk have a review of it i believe

I know what you mean mate - the thing is with these mobile cash vans springing up left right and centre I'm starting to get more worried. After being on 9 points for ages and finally down to 6 I want to keepit that way until I get back to 0.
The price 100 notes boxed and unused.
Go for it broccoli, You wont be sorry .. I have been aimed at by Plod and its reacted as it said on the tin, Luck of the draw mate! BUT I get done for three points for 38 in a 30zone (No schools or crossings around before anyone has a go) by a Static Camera, .... Justice is done?
Thanks for the replies - moreymatch - that link was very useful. It seems I cant afford NOT to buy it doesnt it - cept I'll have to watch for filling stations.
The only thing that worries me is that it is dash / windscreen mounted with the power coming from the cig lighter. Does it interfere with your vision? What do you do with the power wire?
I have a Civic (oh no ) and the dash is rather large.

I just put mine on top of the dash - it doesn't get in the way at all. The power lead can be a bit of a pain because it gets in the way of the gearstick sometimes, but if you're only planning on using it in one car you could probably run the lead around out of the way somehow.

I agree with sgirl, If its only to be used in one car it may be best to wire it into the fusebox (there are normally hot standby's available) as for the window attachment its really small enough for you to have it in the centre (bottom) which is out of your visible window line but withing reach to mute and adjust setting when required
Hope this helps!
I've got an SD815i Signature (SD815iS is different to SD815i but I don't know why) and it's pretty good. One thing is compared to the S5 or V1 it's really tiny. I use it in conjunction with a Snooper SLD920 LASER Diffuser. Here's a pic of them
Performace of the SD815iS is pretty good although not up with the likes of the V1, it gives you enough warning to slow down unless you're really tanking it. Only thing I don't like is there's no X band disable function, so microwave intruder alarms and stuff give it a conniption fit. Big advantage is it's small. about the size of a pack of Silk Cut but half as thick.
There's a review at www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk

Has anyone got done for using a jammer? Are there any threads in here?
I bought the toys for Rupert a few Christmases back and I am sure there was a warning somewhere that you couldnt use them abroad although I think that was more for the GATSO thingy than the jammers. I want some jammers for the jeep.
I think if you look on the speedtrap bible there is some stuff about the law relating to these things.

Unfortunately that doesn't always work. The last time I got caught speeding I was overtaking a slower vehicle (an artic) and had accelerated to reduce my time exposed to danger. I was LIDAR'd and received 5 points and a hefty fine. The NIP suggested that it was ascertained that I wasn't overtaking. Well, yes I was, but Cheshire Constabulary were having none of it.
The big brother-esque, draconian, hypercritical and quite frankly ridiculuous way that motorists are treated by BLiar and his Whitehall cronies pisses me off to the extent that I'm prepared to fight back. This is one of my methods.
Quite why DoT spokespersons and BLiar don't start any address to UK motorists as "Now children, we know you're all a bunch of fcukwits and aren't capable of thinking for yourselves so listen to us..." They might as well, this way the remaining 0.5% of the population would realise we're being bent over and rogered royally by the cheesemeister.
