Discussion
I have a mate who's working for the Highways Agency (?) and doing some roadworks on the M62 at Burtonwood. While they (not he himself) were installing a SPECS system covering about 4 miles of motorway where there are roadworks (which my mate agrees is a good reason to slow traffic down) he noticed something strange about the 'cameras'.
He says that while looking at them installing the system some of the camera enclosures were empty (i.e. no camera in them) – from the outside and from the ground they look normal, but if you look closely/carefully enough you can see a big load a daylight coming right through the back of the enclosure.
He did point out that he saw only 3 they installed that were definitely like this.
I've loaned him my digital camera and asked him to get a few shots for 'posterity'.
They could stop spending it all on chicanes, speed bumps and pretty coloured tarmac?
And they could push half of the civil servants and politicians off Beachy Head.
The other half could thereby be compelled to take a pay cut.
Money problem solved - now take down those damned cameras!!
btw - They didn't buy the cameras from a guy on Oldham market did they? A guy who swore on his mother's gravy that they were the genuine article and not fakes at all.. just like this lovely Raulex watch..
