I am lucky enough to have a Gatso outside the back of my house. My bedroom window looks out over it. I noticed not long ago that when a Police car came through the camera at excess speed it did not trigger. I have seen this now 3 times. One time the car must have been doing at least 60mph and nothing.

I hear sirens again last night and look out of the window to watch a fire engine go through it at abo;ut 45-50mph. It went off with 2 flashes.

Do the Police have something on board the cars that stops the Gatso's from working. I have seen 3 Police cars go through at excess speed and each one was a different vehicle. Namely Patrol cars and Traffic cars...

Anyone know anything ??

Cheers

Interesting if true, the market for a "Gatso inhibitor" would be enormous!

More likly it's just a 'film/no film' issue

The answer is no. Sometimes the cameras have film, sometimes they don't.

In my days we had to notify the Control Room when we were going to trgger a Gatso on the way to a job. If we didn't we got prosecuted.
