This wasn't answered in a previous thread, but to me seems quite important.....

You buy your expensive warning device and the manufacturer goes under. Database downloads stop and before long existing data in the unit becomes worthless. They're proprietry products so no compatibility, suddenly you've wasted £400.

Is there any contract from the manufacturers assuring continued support in this event?
