Radio to warn drivers of speed cameras in Essex
Discussion
Partially counter-intuitive given their position on speeding thus far, but:

Motorists in Essex will now be told where police speed cameras are located after claims that forces are using them as a licence to print money.
Essex Police are now telling drivers in an effort to clamp down on speeding and reduce the numbers prosecuted and fined. Radio stations will notify listeners of the day's locations of mobile safety cameras.
Brian Ladd, a casualty-reduction manager with Essex Police, said today: "The announcement of safety camera zones will provide motorists with even less of an excuse for inappropriate speeding."

Are they finally getting the message that we're not stupid, we know a scam when we see one and SPEED DOES NOT KILL!!!!

Read in the local rag that they are actually publishing them on their (police) website on a Monday for the following week.
Was very interested to see that this was mobile cameras.
Now the only questions is, can I be bothered to look every week? Or shall I just take my chances on my observational talents, which along with a lot of luck, have kept me out of trouble so far.
