Morpeous Radar Upgrade?
Discussion
Guys,
Just got the Radar Detector upgrade card through the post on Saturday and was wondering if anybody has already tried it or knows anything about it?
Just warey of the £300 price tag for the upgrade - as radar detectors always seemed a bit hit and miss. But my normal G+ has been great - now wondering about belt and braces...
Any experience?

Daz,
I've got the G+ which cost £399 total but they've just released a new add-on pack for it which costs £350 (discounted to £299 upgrade for the next 4 weeks).
This adds an active radar detector to the system... But I've not heard any reports on it - other than the Caterham owners club buying 50ish as a group discount...
Cheers

I've just had a look at Morpheous's website and there is not mention of this new add on.
Did the information come direct from Morpheous or is the company you bought your Geodesy Plus from having a special offer to current customers, with a differnt make radar detector.

PS registered with Morpheous as a user and have received nothing in the post ref above.

I got the upgrade notice from Morpheous on Saturday. Looks like they're just in the process of sending them out.
Being a bit cynical (of this gov't) my first thought was that if you put a radar detector on the Geodesy it's no longer purely a safety tool for identifying blackspots. While they can't (I think) make a Geodesy on it's own illegal they could make the detector part illegal.
Also, if I was going to add anything extra it would probably be a laser jammer nowadays rather than a radar detector.

Hmm they kept that one quiet.
Why not get a re raidiating (soz spelling) jobba and a cheaper Euro spec Bell detector??
Then again with most forces going laser (comment Madcop please??) unless you can jam it its an instant pull. MoJo.

Looking at the pics I think it is a seperate unit that would be un pluggable for legality (if detectors get made illegal)it just uses the Geodesy display
I do think however that £300 is a bit steep but it does keep them one step in front of the competition. I won't be getting one for that money and I do get a hefty discount I do however agree the best set up is a normal GPS unit plus blinder I think radar is distinctly getting a bit long in the tooth.
