Last Saturday, after taking my boy Karting, coming out of Haverhill on the A1307, saw my first sign, Police SAFETY cameras, as opposed to speed cameras, incidentally there are no such devices on this road.
Anyone for more brainwashing?
Anyone else seen other examples of this?

Was talking to my 7 year old about black boards at school yesterday. Had to pick her off the floor she was laughing so much.

Its chalk boards now.

And as for Baa Baa sheep of neutral colour...

the worst case of PC I saw was the affirmative action employment programme in SOuth Africa following the Mandela elections in 1994. Experience white employees were "couselled out" so that employers could recruit black employees and fulfill the required quota. It was done so badly that outgoing employees were not around to train the incoming ones. The sacked personnel were therefore pissed off because they lost their jobs. The new personnel were pissed off because they had had no training for their new jobs. The employers were pissed of because production went down.

How to take something and break it...

I was having some driver training the other day via work and was discussing the legal system with my instructor. After allowing me to tell him what I really thought about Britih justice he tells me he is a Magistrate (don't you just hate it when that happens). Anyway he tells me that the reason motorists are treated with heafty fines is because we can afford it. They apparantly cannot fine the unemployed and poor more than they can afford. So the message is simple do well at your chosen career, get caught and pay top whack. Piss about at school knock a couple of kids out and sit on your arse, pay nothing. But at least we can rest easy knowing the legal system is fair, impartial, NOT! and that we don't hurt the sensitive criminals feelings by asking them to pay for their crimes. Make's you proud to be British.

What took the biscuit for me was the copper who got a rollocking for saying "nitty gritty" as it was connected with the slave trade... jeez.

I remember things on the side marmalade jars which you can't talk about... and Pink Panther films where Peter Sellers refers to Kato as his "little yellow friend"

In a company I once worked for, we were not allowed to call people black. One of my best mates from said company was black, and he stood there and said that he referred to himself as black - so what the hell were we supposed to refer to him as? - we weren't being derogatory.

You should see what it is like in public sector.
Racism
Sexism
Homophobism
Ageism

To name but a few. You have to be soooo careful about what you say now for fear of upsetting someone who might be just that little bit sensitive and then sue the organisation for injury to pysche or whatever.

Some of the ones to look out for.

1. Anything relating to the word 'man' unless it is directed at a single actual person.

Manpower, Now human resources
Minimum Manning (as in resources). Now staffing levels
Man hole. Now inspection cover

2. Anything relating to the colour 'Black'

Accident black spot (nagative use of the word black)
Now accident hot spot.

Black Ice. Now just Ice.

Black coffee. Now coffee without milk.

3. Racial Issues

persons who are form a mixed ethnic origin.

Halfcaste, Mixed race, etc are all out.

They are either now 'black' or 'Asian' or Persons of mixed parentage. as we are all of mixed parentage namely one man and one woman.

Gypsys. Now travellers.

There are many many more and to not be PC aware is something that may make you personally liable in any tribunal.

You cannot even refer to woman Police officers as WPCs' anymore as this is exclusionary

Everybody is now refered to as P.C.

What an ironic set of initials.

It's not just utter bollocks, it's censorship, doublethink*, hypocrisy, opressive and an attempt at totalitarian mind control. A typical socialist/marxist attempt to control people's lives and make everyone victims.

And Blair wonders why no bastard want's to work in the public sector?

* Interestingly, did you know that George Orwell (1984 etc...) was actually called Eric Blair!?

It comes to something when you cant even fly your country's own flag in fear of offending people. This country is a joke.

The stupid thing is it's only (PC) English people who get offended by it..!

Practially every foreigner - or even English of foreign descent has their flag on their car, in their house, on a badge whatever..

It's only us, thanks to the self hating guilt riddled self appointed liberal 'elite'. Funny thing is though that they have those in the US too, but they're still allowed to be proud of their Country.. (and shoot burglars come to that...)

Political correctness may be a pain sometimes and I sympathise with anyone working for a social services department.

That said most people I hear complaining about pc are unreconstructed racists who read the Daily Mail
