ha ha ha ha ha.
130 through the old road. Cops too busy on new bit.

Names changed to protect the guilty.

LOL !!

Funnily enough I was thinking the same while driving down the new road the other day. Looked across and saw someone making rapid and unhindered progress along the old road and the thought crossed my mind that the chances are it was plod free too !

New road seems to be a target for plod - something like 100 drivers done in the first day they set up speed traps.

Of course, in their defence, it's a truly lethal road - it's got gradients and at least two sweeping bends to catch out the unwary motorist....

Used to live round that way - where does the new road go? Does it take you from the Turnpike Roundabout down towards the A127?

not ye-haaaa if it is perfectly straight, with gatsos on it, eh?

Besides the fact that a straight road is a dull as a dull thing at 70mph, the risk of being nicked is much stronger with no cover to hide behind. A well placed "sniper" laser tripod will get almost anyone... the old road is far more "entertaining".

Strangely enough there are indeed plenty of bridges for Plod to sit on and observe all the totally lethal speeding motorists terrorising the local bunnies...

No gatsos yet, but it's so massively dangerous that there's bound to be an accident black spot somewhere along its length crying out for a speed, sorry, safety camera....

To be fair, it's not a very interesting road, but it does make the journey quicker and easier.
