After reading about the anti lobby in holland where they destroy the camarers on the roadside by burning, chopping down or spraying the lens with paint, has there been any occurances in this British country of ours.

There were a series of gatsos on the A40 at pointing at rather strange angles. Made me chuckle it did

There's one Gatso on the B-whatever-it-is into Uxbridge which is regularly painted a lovely shade of green and twisted to take pix of the house next to it. Shame.

Best one I saw was in Cambridgeshire (one of the worst counties for enforcement IMHO). It had a lovely Union Jack sticker on the lense. Best bit was that they re-painted the lines, but left the sticker on - donkeys!

In Australia there was a truck driver that drove over 10 cameras in a night. Police asked if anybody had seen anything (ie a big truck killing cameras) but nobody replied- strange that!!

Recently yellow paint has been thrown at 2 camarers on the A59 near Penwortham, Preston. This was done before Lancs Police themselves put yellow stickers on the back of most of the Gatsos in the county. Even funnier said painter drove 1 mile towards Hutton and painted Police are Cxxxs right in the middle of a section of dual carriageway very close to the entrance of the Lancashire Constabulary HQ. Dibble was out with the scrubbing brushes the next morning.

theres more comeing peeps will fight back a more sprout up around the country.
there planing more in my town and if am aware of a couple of groups that aplaning some action if they do plant em as intended.

i predict the the situations with speed cams wont last much longer.

as i going to be a real vote loser for them.

if everyone sent a letter to al party stating they have allways voted for that part but ill no longer do so if they untill the done awat with.

would be a good idear

It gets better n better - A47 yesterday, someone had parked an old escort under the tax camera then torched it (the car that is) - lovely mess!! One less camera to bother about (this village has 4 of them in about 1/2 a mile, well make that 3 now! )

I'll second that! there is one stretch of the A14 (Cambs to Huntingdon) that had no less that 6 Travellos withing 10 miles of each other ... and I've heard rumour that there is also a VASCAR vehicle operating the same stretch of road, Tell me thats no extracting urine in a bad way!

Are you talking about the one in Chalfont St Peter?

The locals were being done for 34 mph, so they "decorated" it

34 mph?! Good job I always pass it at 33...

No, I meant the one on the road that goes from Iver into Uxbridge. It's on the left in the 40 zone as you head towards Uxbridge. I've never seen it catch anyone yet, but then again that road is full of Protons!

Oh that one

No I've not seen that go off either, and I used to go passed it for 3 years when I worked in Slough.
