Camera Locations?
Discussion
Afternoon.
On Friday I need to drive from Sussex to Preston, do a day's work and drive back. This all needs to be done in one day, as I'm going to the Pie and Drive on Saturday. (Mmmmmm hog-roast )
I would be grateful for any information regarding the location of any accident blackspots on my route that Plod have kindly marked with 'safety' cameras, in order that I can take more care in these particular areas .
The route is M23, M25, M40, M42, M6.
Ta muchly.

If you own an Ipaq there another one even better than any of the above (in that IPAQ's are legal). You will need the following
1 Navman GPS Unit (which comes with its own GPS software)
2 www.pocketstreetmap.com (download the evaluation version and check it out)
Has Blackspot locations, Traffic warnings, speed restriction warnings, location searches right down to road/street level, construction/road works warnings.
The blackspot warnings are a mile+ away from the "spot" giving you ages to react and comply. Only thing I cannot get it to do is pour me a cuppa whilst I drive.
I have the latest snooper in my car too but have learned to trust the IPAQ more. NO false alarms and is up to date all the time, updates every time you sync the palm too and can be updated even whilst you drive if you have a mobile with blue tooth
BTW I am in no way associated to www.pocketstreetmap.com AND wish I were receiving a royaly on the software.
HOWEVER... I have said it on another posting somewhere too, FEAR VASCAR !! (not that I condone speeding)

Nothin much on the M6 (I've just driven the length from Carlisle to the M1 and back )
There are some roadworks in/around birmingham, specs all over the frickin place and about 100 or so numties who didn't see them, the limit is 50 so I say stick to it, there are some Mobile Gatso's dotted about too but they are further north again in road works, and as has already been mentioned the ones at the Roadworks by the knutsford services, There Police have been real fly gits here, two pairs in each direction, beginning - middle, middle - end 50 all the way!
