Police fined for Speeding
The Deputy Chief Constable of Hampshire police appeared in court yesterday in relation to a speeding charge. As reported yesterday, one of his officers sped past a speed camera at 48mph in a 30mph zone. The force was fined £500 (reduced from £750 for a quick guilty plea) and ordered to pay costs of £35.

So he didn't get any points on his licence then. One rule for them. Another for us.
I called the police last night to report somebody driving without due care and attention. It was a police woman driving her jam sandwich while using a mobile phone.
I rather enjoyed that.

The chief constable is in exactly the same position as the director or transport manager of any organization that has people driving for it. There are probably many more public companies that have had unamed drivers commiting offences and been summonsed to court but that isnt really very interesting to the public is it
