Bit over the top using an Esprit to catch a mountain bike. What next....Helicopters to catch speeding rollerbladers?

It's John Robson's new patrol car. Since he has become a key member of the PistonHeads community his bosses felt he should be suitably equipped.

Relaxitscool is the one on the mountain bike - he has been given 18 gears, but not a Lotus yet as he is a newer member.

This picture shows them waiting with the guys from the campaign for clear English (out of shot) for Outlaw, who is expected to pass at high speed on his way to the recycling facility with 4 bin bags of NIPs.

Cheers,
JSG

Back when I was working in the motor trade VW pitched for a deal with a police force and got 2 vento vr6's stickered up and blue lights etc attached.

Driving one of them when we moved offices was immense fun, playing policeman for a day!

Matt.

Bodo if you look you'll see that the porker is RAAAATHER old......early 70's???? my guess. Seen it around Stuttgart where they used it to escort the useless local MPs around. Späth and other such scroats!!! The bayernschweine have an M3 but only in Regensburg (to my knowledge) not A7/A9...............
