A relation of mine tried driving while blindfolded the afternoon, presumably to see if he could navigate by instinct.

I saw it all and I have to say, I was impressed. He drove at top speed for a fair distance, and managed somehow to avoid all the people around him (he actually lives quite near a school). He didn't hit anything and got to where he was going.

So who needs computers to drive cars for you?

But what would the police reaction have been if he'd been caught? Driving without being in control, or whatever the wording is?

Been done. Been done better.

We've already had the speeding windup.

This is tbe truth and nothing but the truth.

However, as Englishman says, there's been a fair bit of winding up lately so I'll come clean.

It's not the whole truth.

My son, age 3, drove his push-along-with-your-feet car from the kitchen to the living room with a cloth over his head, as quickly as I've seen, hitting nothing on the way. Obviously living near a school is irrelevant.

I thought it was dead funny when I saw him so I thought I'd share it with you in a creative and amusing way ... suspect I failed, hope I didn't pi$$ anyone off too much.

My lad does that sort of thing all the time in his Ferrari (nice red F40 - he's pulled with it already, a nd he's only just turned 2! ). Sticks his foot hard down, then turns around to face the wrong way! Still, can't do too much harm at 3mph, can he?
