NEW SUBJECT niCE BENT POLICEMAN NICKED

"A Nottingham policeman used a confidential database to choose a
false number plate for his motorcycle so that he would not be caught
speeding. Jonathan Partridge, 27, of Ruddington, who has since left
the force, had accrued nine points and feared losing his licence,
Nottingham Magistrates' Court was told. He was arrested after other
officers recognised his motorcycle when he was doing 73mph in a
30mph zone.

"He pleaded guilty to fraudulent use of a vehicle trade licence and
speeding and was sent to the Crown Court for sentencing."

as reported in the times.

I don't mind commenting on it, the mans a prat, he should have known better, his only saving grace is that he has pleaded guilty to it, instead of wasting the courts time as I'm sure you would have done Mr Outlaw. I don't mind backing up my colleagues on this site if I feel that incorrect or mis-understood information is being posted, but I do not support any who break the law, why should I.

Funny I always thought it was 'scrote' as in scrotum ... but I seem to be in the minority here

look can we have reasonably relaxed discussions here, we don't have to call each other names and we can all generally benefit from each others' opinions and experiences, if they're put over coolly enough.

This is the first post outlaw has made. He has told us all he is dislexic on some other threads. So live with it, he makes a great contribution.

NO

This forum ISNT a general conversation. We all benefit GREATLY from the contributions made by John, Rob and Mad (?!!) If you wish to abuse people on a website then please go somewhere else to do it.

Your contributions are generally interesting - but you feel the need to attack groups openly and I for one don't feel this is the forum to do it in.

Outlaw,

I enjoy reading your outlook on life, even I don't always agree with your views - however I'm in favour of your freedom to express them.

As Nightmare pointed out this forum is for any topic to do with speeding and law enforcement issues. It has proved invaluable to many members in the past and I feel (as I hope others do) that the presence of John, Rob and Madcop is a considerable benefit to PistonHeads.

For a while John was the only cop to post here, not easy when you are likely to be seen in a negative light by many members. Over time these guys earned respect with their advice and comments - anyone who doesn't agree is welcome to discuss but perhaps the debate should be more polite than it is at times - I'm not singling you out personally, its just the timing of this post.

I see no reason to refer to anyone as "pigs" or worse as I have seen here before, they are doing a job but are realistic and supportive enough of Pistonheads to give us their time and advice. Lets not piss anyone off with comments that can be misconstrued as insults.

This site is Ted's livelihood and he runs it with minimal censorship with only a few moderators relying on the members to know the limits.

Please keep posting, lets just keep things friendly - if these guys were the enemy they would not be here.

Cheers,
JSG.

Well it may be pretty common, but it's still intended to be abusive.
