Here is a question for everyone, as I am not sure of the answer.

On the A1 at the Lincoln junction (cant remember the road) where the Total services are and that large Downtown shopping centre there are some speed cameras. In fact on the section that is going North just before the roundabout there is one about 1 mile from it. However, I dont drive that road too often (once per month about) and noticed something strange.

The road is NSL and with a speed camera this would be OK (well actually not as there are NO junctions or houses at that part of the A1!! Revenue maker I think. However, at the time they put the camera up (and signs) they put some road works there also. The roadworks are 50 MPH on and around the actual camera location.

So, here is the question. Do they ajust the fixed cameras so that they are at the prevailing limit (50) or are they likley to be at the normal limit of 70? Everytime I have been through everyone has been at 55 so I cant tell... Is it just a fluke (or someone having a laugh) in that they have put road works there directly at the camera?

To be honest the roadworks have been there for over 5 weeks now and nothing has changed. But not sure as to the situation....

Ideas?

Cheers,

Paul

If the limit is 50 even though it is a temporary order to reduce it from 70, then the camera will be set for 55mph. Dont risk it at 70. Watch the guy in front be emblazened in white light.
